Our Beliefs
Biblical truth forms our beliefs, character and guides our daily living.
Below is a summary of our core beliefs known as our Statement of Faith. It explains what we believe about God, scripture, salvation, morality, and other key foundational truths.
God
We believe in one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, known as the Trinity. God is one, but He is known to us in three persons who work together.
Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19Sovereignty
We believe God made everything and rules over all things with love and grace judging all things righteously. God created our world and all people; He lovingly and justly judges all things both right and wrong.
Genesis 1:1 · Psalm 103:19 · Acts 17:31Bible
We accept the Bible as God’s Word and the final authority for teaching, morality, and faith. The Bible is the truth that guides our faith and our actions.
2 Timothy 3:16 · Psalm 119:105Humanity
We believe God made people in His image, but everyone has sinned and needs salvation. People are loved by God, but we all do wrong and need His help and forgiveness.
Genesis 1:27 · Romans 3:23Jesus
We believe Jesus is God’s only Son who pre-existed before being born of a virgin. Jesus was with God before his human existence then lived a perfect life and never sinned.
Isaiah 7:14 · Matthew 1:18–23 · Hebrews 4:15Atonement
We believe Jesus died on the cross to bring us back to God. Jesus gave His life so our sins could be forgiven.
Romans 5:8 · 1 Peter 2:24Resurrection
We believe Jesus rose from the dead in body, soul and spirit, then returned to heaven, and is now King forever. Jesus is alive today and rules with all authority, power and love.
Luke 24:39 · Acts 1:9 · Ephesians 1:20–22Grace
We believe we are made right with God only by God’s grace, not by our good works. We are forgiven because God loves us, not because we earn it.
Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 3:24Holy Spirit
We believe it is through the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can turn away from Sin and toward God. The Holy Spirit has power to change our hearts and give us strength to follow and obey Jesus.
John 16:8 · Acts 1:8 · Galatians 5:22–23Church
We believe God has entrusted the Church to his people to love, serve, and to tell others about Jesus. All believers belong to God’s family, they are sent to share His love and are empowered by the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:12–13 · Matthew 28:19–20Judgment
We believe Jesus will come back one day to judge the world. Those who trust Him will live with Him forever, and those who reject Him will be separated from God.
Matthew 25:31–46 · Revelation 20:11–15
